zen Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 For most parts, the win predictor showed NZ chances at 22% and Ind's at 10% ... Therefore, NZ chances are 2x Ind's, however, chances of a draw are 68% ... A draw gives both teams the title so no team loses ... It appears as if a team takes unnecessary risks and they backfire, it could lose the title, which, in a way, is already in its pocket now (since chances of a draw are 68%) ... Either dumb or excellent cricket is likely to close or open the doors respectively for a team ... At the moment, a case of a bird in hand being better than two in the bush for the teams ... Let's see if any team is brave (or foolish depending on perspective/result) enough to push things while batting
G_B_ Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 I think india will bat as much as possible However i hope they look to score wherever reasonable. Its not just about sucking out overs. If you score their shoulders will drop.
coffee_rules Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 (edited) Can’t afford to block all the way, need dual strategy, until all 3 seniors are there, keep the ends up and push the score as much as possible and leave 1 session to bowlers to play out a draw or not Edited June 23, 2021 by coffee_rules
zen Posted June 23, 2021 Author Posted June 23, 2021 Ind ... Full marks to NZ but a bit sad to see the team could not draw this
Lord Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Rahane Pujara Kohli all needed to bat one session put together
