BCCI planning to hold two bilateral series ahead of the U-19 World Cup: Reports

“The board usually arranges multiple U-19 series – both home and overseas – to prepare a crop of U-19 cricketers for the World Cup. The pandemic has hampered the normal process. It’s important for the young boys to have some international experience,” a top BCCI official privy to the development told TOI.

Once the players get shortlisted, the board used to organise bilateral series as part of the preparation for the world event. Given that time is of the essence and that things are out of the ordinary, the BCCI is considering fielding two U-19 teams at the same time.

“This is why the board has thought of fielding two teams. Bangladesh are a tough opposition in U-19 cricket. This tournament help will test out the players,” the official added.

Prince Badiani 6 foot 6 fast bowler from Mumbai, already a fifer in Vinoo Mankad. Good strong high arm action. Kid is a serious prospect. I think 17 year old.

Vasu Vats from UP took 8 wickets today in U19 Vinoo Mankad. Looks a good bowler, with a good action.

For u19 this year, selectors would take an exception, those who played last time may also be able to play the next world cup, people like reddy from Hyderabad may get another chance to play.

Looks good. Reminds me of Mitch Starc in left arm version.

seen quite a few allrounders coming up, hopefully they build an all round team this time around & a couple of serious quicks to maintain the standard of previous batches ..

Divyanshu Singh is another 6 foot 6 fast bowler from Mumbai, wasn't picked for Vinoo Mankad but has played u14, u16 for Mumbai, may get picked for Cooch Behar trophy if not injured.

Maharashtra bowler Rajvardhan S Hangargekar seems to be a good bowler who can bat nicely too, saved maharashtra single handedly in the semi's & now saving them in the finals too, somebody to lookout for..

Some match highlights of Haryana Boys created by a Haryana Fan probably, but you get to see some nice bowlers..

some summary :

-- Decent quicks on display in Haryana, Rajasthan teams.

-- Boring & orthodox spinners, nobody unorthodox or with an X Factor or even a leg spinner like Bishnoi or chahar from previous versions, maybe in other teams but not in these 5-6 teams which are on display across these 6-7 videos.

-- Batting also nothing special, just conventional batters.

Having a good final too with the bat & the ball is Hangarkekar!!!  Awesome & he is yet to turn 19, which means he should be available for the next world cup in West Indies.

Haryana won the Vinood Mankad against Maharashtra, RV Hangarerkar was the lone fighter from maharashtra though.. seems haryana had a balanced side..

Garv Sangwan is a tall pacer. Medium paced right now.

Rajvardhan, Salaudeen, Prince Badiani, and Vasu Vatsa 4 fast bowlers already ready there with their claim for this u19 WC side. Salaudeen top wicket taker in Vinoo Mankad trophy.
