The Indian Pace Bowling Pool need more Bounce Bowlers ... We suffered in South Africa 2022 because we could not use bounce as a weapon against ther top 6 batters

The tall Australian bowlers are pushing us back with steeply bouncing balls and then getting wickets with fuller balls as we are circumspect about coming forward. Getting wickets with bounce too. 

 

While Indian pacers from 2022 to 2024 are just depending on seaming the ball away or in to get wickets.

We don’t have many tall bowlers, Akashdeep is tall but still doesn’t get that carry.

 

I think Kartik, Mayank, Rana are our tallest quality prospects but none of them is like close to Cummins let alone Hazlewood and Starc.

 

Even a good hut the deck bowler would do well, Rana has bowled a lot of floaty stuff, if he gets it right we can pick him for the fourth test.

Akashdeep is 6 feet half inch tall that around 185 cm. Shortest Aussie bowler Cummins is 193 cm.

The state boards acting as visionless Babudom..is the cause..

There is so much diversity and so many people in India that there is no way we cant find 140k+ tall fast bowlers..

its about scouting and promoting them..

The important thing later will be to groom them to be accurate and be fit..

Rt nw its top-down effect, not other way around. Yes there are not many 135+kmph 6.3+ tall bowlers.

But there are 140+kmph bowlers who are not that tall but have some pace which can be worked with but they wont get a chance in their domestic team because Ind team itself is not looking for proper 140+kmph bowler in T20is.

 

In Del. t20 league every team had a 140 kmph bowler, Up t20 there were couple of bowler who looked skiddy. But are they getting any chance???

 

Yes proper scouting is required now for proper tall fast bowlers, there has to be some system. IPL teams have many net bowlers they run their their trials and camps whats the harm of working with them??

He could have replaced Thakur and added bounce and some batting ability.

Akash is not tall enough, nor does he operate at the desired  speeds for Oz pitches - of ~135 kph on average. Need to identify future pacers beyond him instead
