But we can’t be great every day.’ - Stokes continues to be arrogant. Edited August 20, 2022 by vvvslaxman
vvvslaxman Posted August 20, 2022 Author Posted August 20, 2022 "Where the New Zealand and India attacks each had a weak link – off-spinner Michael Bracewell and medium-pacer Shardul Thakur – South Africa trampled on England from the moment Alex Lees drove loosely at Rabada in the game’s second over." I think that is where the difference is. You need a gun leg spinner otherwise if you don't have a great 4th seam option.

Exactly Now imagine if India had all these 4 in their primes now Bhuvi at 8 Ishant or siraj at 9 Bumrah at 10 Shami at 11 That looks deadly.
vvvslaxman Posted August 20, 2022 Author Posted August 20, 2022 Instead of playing Kuldeep in batsman friendly formats why not try him in bowler friendly format like Tests where batsmen are likely to take less chances against him. Lord and nevada 2
TheWall Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Poms didn't lose bcoz of bazbal, they lost bcoz they didn't have balls...
singhprakash72 Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 English might hit back hard on SA but this win confirmed that if the team plays to its strength it can overcome Bazball strategy, specially on a good wicket. For England it was mainly Root and Jonny who created that opportunity once they fail no one really had skills (may be Stokes ). India let a crucial 3rd innings batting slip which opened the opportunity for Eng batters plus to make matters worse Indian slip catching has been a bane for its recent failures. nevada 1
Bigg Brother Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 They didn't lose because of Bazball..What wrong did he say in that..?

Not stokes. What he said is their team is incredibly hard to team to play against if they execute their skills. Against India after win he said "I wished they had set 450".
Need4Speed Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 This Bazball happens in 4th innings only it seems..so they should win tosses and put opposition to bat..lol sage and nevada 2

Does Bazball only mean batting boldly or does it advocate boldness in bowling, setting attacking fields, and making bold selections too?

Ya..Right..Ideally it shoul be boldness in all aspects but so far its most visible in 4th batting..mostly JB..and also in England.. will be interesting to see how it works out for them in foreign conditions..

Bairstow is the sole guy who make them look score quick. He is in form. He mostly scores runs. Hence it looks like England is playing aggressively.

He is a *ing hack. A *ing fodder piece of **** who only excels in flat pitches. If our Indian bitches dint go into the last game unprepared we would have mutilated them like we did in the other 4 tests. The same piece of **** boldstow played and got wrecked by bumrah and co.

He has played 3 match winning knocks in such a short span of time flat or not. Most of the time England was in deep trouble. Our bowlers should lose the tag of succeeding only on helpful pitch. We couldn't get rid of Lees until he ran himself out. Just like we celebrate Pant's 4th innings knocks they will celebrate his knocks. Only question mark we can raise is can he do that in various conditions like Pant does. Pant did exclusively in overseas conditions.
