Neesham is a proper match winner. He should be compared with Pandya, not Axar/Jadeja.

Neesham is way below Pandya and yes comparable to Jadeja/Axar

His bowling is worst and batting struggles v spin.

MCG is bad for fingerspin. Its all about wrist spin and pace.

The fact that Nawaz got smashed by the likes of Kohli tells you all you need to know.

Nawaz is not some great himself.

Ashwin did quite well

NesshamStrike rate 165

Pandya strike rate 145

Difference of 20, average same. Pandya struggles vs pace.

both struggle v high pace hard lengths. Pandya smashes spin.

Also much better bowler. Neesham is not even a regular 4 over bowler even in SENA

Naah, Neesham is a better striker of the bowl and that is what you need in T20s as apparent with his higher strike rate and ability to hit sixes under pressure while Pandya has to rely on Kohli to do that.

Yes, Pandya is a better bowler.

If you purely compare Axar's batting abitlity with someone from world cricket who would you compare with?  Promoting him up in the name of match up is even more criminal. Even with him bowling 4 full  overs his batting position is one level above. Imagine him not being able to bowl those 4 overs as well. We will have no practical use of him.

Nawaz is a very good T20 spinner. That MCG surface is one of which most finger spinners do badly.

Ashwin is a bit an outlier in most such considerations. Off spinners don't do much in Australian tests but he has done reasonably well there.

Even Jadeja has done well in Tests in Aus.

Nawaz got hammered by Eng in their home series. Even otherwise hes okay at best in SENA

Nawaz is a bit like most spinners. Once batsmen come after them they wilt.  Santner kind of spinners might work. Previously Vettori.  Speed variation is noticeable. They are not genuine darters. They try to turn the ball. Bit of roundarmish.  Shakib is another guy who has this round armish action. But sometimes he dishes out half vollies.
