Ravindra Jadeja (25 off 35) vs England wt20 2009 or Rohit Sharma (27 off 28) vs England wt20 2022.

Rohit has been quite poor in last few t20 worldcups he had played. Felt he only focused on boundary hitting and got stucked on one end. He couldn't rotate strike. Will give him credit this time for playing the way he has done till now. Did not play for records and only looked to give great starts which sets momentum for team. Hopefully he continues this in knockouts doesn't look to change his game unless conditions are really difficult.

Its been the trend in previous ICC tourneys too. Atleast one fires in league stage and then both fail in semis/final.

Getting similar vibes.

Atleast this time around there won't be a green pitch like last time, so let's see. Plus our bowlers are in much better form and have the home advantage.

Also no major weak links in team or poor selections, unlike last time when we had 1D Chahal on non helpful pitches and a non existent MO.

Just pray that our Kismat isn't so *. It's our WC to lose.

There wasn't any green pitch in 2015,2017,2021,2022. Even 2019 was more of movement in the air.

Yeah no stupid selection issues.

2015: We had a great WC until we met hosts Aus in SF who were much better than us in those conditions. No shame.

2017: :facepalm:We had let SL chase 320, means we weren't invincible in that tournament. Also that loss contributed towards Kohli's stupid decision to bowl first in the final.

2019: The pitch had plenty of seam movement after it was under covers. NZ felt more at home than us in Eng. Still we should have done much better than 5/3. Rohit, Kohli failed.

2021: T20 tukka + win toss win match

2022: T20 tukka + our trundler army

2023: This time we have ticked literally every box. If we loss this then it will be our biggest choke by far.
