We can forget it and be happy we are reaching SFs and Fs. Come IPL, we all focus on our favorite teams and forget it each year So when did you think guys like Kohli and rohit should have been dropped? Have we seen any potential players who could succeed them and better them?
putrevus Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Some geniuses are asking Sundar to be in t20 squad, that guy cannot hit a six if his life depends on it. They want him to number 3 test batsman also. Lord 1

No. I was questioning the rationale of the OP that this was the best result, while there is no proof of learning from previous similar results. In hindsight of 2022 failure, I think we could have done something to break the top3 who play similarly, after 2021 debacle. 1 year with a new team, captain, coach etc was not good enough to effect a turnaround. The sad part is the replacements of Rohit and KL could have done the same or better. There is no redemption for KL at all, Kohli redeemed while Rohit is a ODI goat.

India won one more match than 2021 this time around which you are calling as debacle. In my opinion fundamental problem with India in t20s , it is neither good in batting nor does it have good bowling. When you have such a team everything has to go right for it to win. People are lumping KL with Kohli and Rohit as you correctly pointed out Kohli is ATG . He still redeemed himself this cup. Rohit while ATG in odis was never good in t20 world cups that is why I was against Rohit becoming captain. But moronic Ganguly did not understand that simple thing. He like many idiots thought by winning IPL with loaded team made Rohit a great captain. Edited November 16, 2022 by putrevus coffee_rules 1
