Umesh, Unadkat and Siraj is not as good as Australia's.

Oh you mean current? In Asian conditions it's still better. Check their records in India and Asia. Umesh is old now though. So there is that. Aussie attack is younger which makes the difference here.

Overall based on those 3 Aussies are better but assuming both teams are at full strength with bumrah siraj shami and someone like prasidh or umran, India would be every bit as good if not better in most conditions although shami is ageing.

Our batting absolutely woeful. I still believe aussie batsmen are superior to ours even if we add in Gill etc. Our batting is very weak tbh. Maybe once jaiswal sarfraz etc develop. Sundar too.

@express bowling mentioned Sundar being in the XI which I like, if he comes in as a bowler, it really lengthens our batting lineup.

Its important to note Uncles are walking wickets, so we need a long batting lineup.

Hasnt India I think in 2020 vs England, played just the one pace bowler and 4 spinners before?

Unkils make our batting the weakest by far. 4 walking wickets. I hope we can drop atleast 2. 2 morons will definitely play for sure.

I dont disagree with this, but Bumrah and Shami both injured and we know how easily Indian players break down again.

Prasidh does not have the match experience to really trouble the Australians just yet, because our useless BCCI and TM are picking Unadkat instead.

Lets be honest with India, Unadkat Ishant and Boobi are a chance to play and we will be massacred if we offer pitches that assist pace bowling.

On potential, India has far superior bowling attack.

I think there Is a very good chance unducutta will play alongside umesh etc. In saying that, I have to say unda bowled well vs bangla.

You guys are underestimating our quicks, Umesh/Shami are ATG in these conditions, then you have the young, hungry lion Siraj whose ceiling may be even higher. Even if Bumrah doesn't play (he may give more importance to IPL) we can come up with 2 quicks to match whatever the Aussies throw at us, even a rookie like Prasidh will step up, I am confident. Ash-Jaddu have declined but so has Lyon, and Agar isn't in their class tbh. This is where Kuldeep can give us an edge, with proper TM handling he should be at the peak of his powers this time, let's see. Even Axar is a good option to have, but he shouldn't start in the XI in case Jaddu is fit.

Where Aussies trump us is their batting department vis-a vis our clowns in top 4. Make no mistake, a middle/lower order of Shreyas, Pant, Jaddu, Ashwin, Kuldeep/Axar will give them hell (ability+clutchness+fighting spirit) but difficult to expect them to bail us out every time from 30/4. In contrast they have Warner, Khawaja, Labu, Smith, Head, Green, Carey, the senior duo of Warner/Smith may have declined but Khawaja, Labu, Head are at their peak and a very scary prospect. If we can bring in Sundar, Sarfaraz in top 4 we can equal them, but we all know that is not going to happen.

No need of rank turners, prepare traditional Indian pitches with decent carry (to reward edges), abrasive nature will mean reverse swing can be exploited after 30 odd overs.

Misconception that this team needs rank turners only to win, last 10 years history indicates we are at our lethal best on pitches where even our pace demons join in the action, rank turners only reduce the gulf between 2 sets of spinners. Though Ashwin-Jaddu have declined, as a group the trio of Ashwin-Jaddu-Kuldeep are in a different class compared to all other spin units in today's cricket.....one Lyon can't match up to our 3!!!!!! Prepare pitches like 2019 RSA and if our 2 quicks get their teeth in, we will comfortably edge the Aussies in bowing department at least.

Also must hold on to our catches, with Kohli at slips, always a matter of concern. Dropping 5 catches in one session against Bangladesh can still be overcome, do that against Aussies and test is gone there itself.

I cant stand the sight of him. I will turn tv off as soon as I see kela Brat and pujara bat. Atleast pujara is a fighter. He tries. He sucks now but he tries.

at this rate, pummeling saffers 3-0 should be doable. SL also won against saffers in their backyard. and what did we do?

We let ourselves get plowed by some corrupt selection deficiency.
