yes, but he is nowhere near pant's level. however, with a high-risk batting style like pant, he will have a few failures and then people will clamor for selection of bharath, kishen, even kela (as keeper)

Dhongi lol. He was useless vs pace and bounce. Can't believe frauds like him have fans. Chuskis even built him a temple. 

 

I dont care how many failures pant has in loi, he Is the first person on the team sheet in tests. Indian selectors have a bad habit of conflating records across formats.

Pant rise in test since that series in Aus has been meteoric, his keeping has improved multifold- in some regards best keeper right now.

 

He has played at-least 7/8 rescue jobs for Ind in test so far and has been the most reliable Ind batters in Test. If he keeps doing this he would be on the way of greatness in Test.

To score 200s would be hard for him owing to frequent top order collapses and having to do rescue jobs most of the time.

 

Gilly was trend setter who changed that why how teams started looking at wkt. keepers job, he was top keeper and top better, no opponent wanted to see him bat once Aus had a decent score as he could accelerate at v.high rates and in no time Aus were +100 runs more in v.quick time.

 

Sanga was v.good keeper and batter has scored 100s/200s against v.good sides in all the conditions, not so sure why he didn't perform so well against Ind.

 

Andy Flower scored most of his runs against Ind, Pak and SL as he was good player of spin (with his sweeps and reverse sweeps), but overall Okish wkt. keeper.

 

In my opinion Pant should only play Test for a while and Ind should look for T20is /Odis keeper batter elsewhere. He has already played 60+ T20Is with no good inning and he struggles to provide any impetus to the RR

Pant is GOAT and ATG? don't understand what are people upto? Let him complete 50 match, then we can discuss about these terms.
