We are seeing the effects of that workload on Rabada. Bumrah has to decide after this worldcup to just quit other two formats and play just tests and IPL. Absolutely, I am in favour that we need to leave this 3 format fetish aside now. Bumrah should only play Tests and at max T20's. ODI's should be left to the likes of Siraj, Prasidh etc.

Bumrah has been a fit guy and despite having an straining action he was bowled quick day in and day out. Exactly ! Bumrah has been bowling quick for 7 years now. Can't say that he is unfit. Injuries are part and parcel of the life of a Fast bowler. 1 hour ago, singhvivek141 said: Unfortunately, we're so resource deprived that we're giving him enough time to heal his injury. Our NCA doctors are incompetent to the core. NCA have been declaring fit, half fit pacers for quite some time now. Same happening with Bumrah. So, he plays ODIs in 2023 and T20Is in 2024, 25, 26 and ODIs again in 2027, if he is still relevant for ODIs then. singhvivek141 and Mosher 2

Bumrah can adapt to any format, but some bowlers can't. Likes of Prasidh, Siraj are more comfortable in ODI's in comparison to T20's....hence Bumrah can take rest from ODI's (ofcourse after 2023 WC) and let other continue the lead. express bowling 1

Given the poor record of injury management by the NCA in the last 5 years or so ( the person in charge is said to be not that good ), I get the feeling that his injury has not been managed properly. The last time Bumrah had back issues, he personally sought external help and recovered in just over 4 months. While pacers like Bhuvi, Nagarkoti, Mavi, Chahar, who have relied on the NCA for injury management, have struggled for a very long time and keep getting injured again. Bumrah needs to seek external help and assess the status of his injury first. Only after being really sure that he is fully fit should he come back. The mode of coming back should depend on what games are scheduled at that point of time. NCA is a Grade A bungler. best for boom and others to stay as far away from that hell as possible. express bowling 1
