At home? SRT was player of series. I would actually tilt towards Kumble in 2003 more where he picked 24 wickets and got 8 wickets in 1st inning of Sydney. 2001 was Laxman imo..Simply at another level. 2007/08 - Ishant had moments in Sydney but overall Kumble picked 20 wickets in that series and was the best bowler. 2013 and 2017 you are probably right.
zen Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 I wouldn’t count spinners performances on rank turners (why even play cricket if one has to resort to playing on such doctored pitches).

Same with 2003 where Kumble finishes close second behind Dravid. 1 hour ago, Majestic said: 2001 was Laxman imo..Simply at another level. Talking about the 2008 home series, Ishant did very well and was leading wicket taker on some pretty flat pitches. raki05 1
zen Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 (edited) I like the fact that Pujara has made an impact in at least 3-4 series against Aus, which is exceptional for a player who only made his debut in 2010s! Edited February 14, 2023 by zen

Being as great as puji was, wonder why he fared so poorly in SA? He dominated a way better pace attack in aus but somewhat struggled in SA in similar conditions. I blame coolie's moron captaincy for it.
