Afghanistan seems to be coasting towards win.

Idk the status of Afg v India series..  But boy these Afghans are indeed good.  Ibrahim Zadran looks like a great find for them. 

Big hitters like Najibullah & Gurbaz Nabi + Rashid make them a dangerous outfit. 

 

Hope the series happens vs a young Indian side.

From where Ireland started in terms of playing top opposition 2007 onwards and Afgh started way way after. Considering Ireland is a 1st world country and potential more opportunities for their players to develop Afg has done something no associate would ever do. Maybe cricket is a subcontinent sport and associate white nations with indigenous players will never take it seriously as they see it as more of a hobby than a professional sport. Case in point about Ireland and Netherlands never achieving their potentials despite the resources available to them

Irish are more into football & rugby In guess...  Cricket is like their 5th priority in other ways

Atherton said they haven't had a first class domestic season since Covid too.
