Pole vault is not his speciality. In fact what he jumped today was his personal best. This is his first season as a decathlon athlete. He was a high jumper before. bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 (edited) Nepal only lose by 23 runs despite India scoring 202. Very poor bowling from the fast bowlers, Shivam Dube and Washington Sundar. bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 On to the recurve QFs now. Unfortunately none of the fancied Indian ladies made it to the QFs despite really good seedings. Both Indian men are in the hunt though. Pity our recurve archers are not as good as the Compound archers and that the Olympics does not include Compound archery events. Strange that Squash and Compound archery are not Olympic events.

Actually despite a huge 300 pt lead in pole vault, the Chinese guy is not way ahead of Tejaswin. He is ahead only by 91 pts. Unless he is also a gun at Javelin and is far ahead of the rest and Tejaswin is really bad at Javelin as well, I think Tejaswin is the better mid/long distance runner. So Tejaswin in with a very good chance at gold IMO. randomGuy 1
