Unlike China there is no increased intake of meat or protein. In China per capita meat consumption went up from 3.6 kg in 1961 to 52.4 kg in 2002. No such thing is happening in India. Indian government which ever party is ruling just believe providing wheat and rice to population. In india the diet standard is comparable to Pakistan and Bangladesh and nowhere close to china of 20 years ago.
bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Ghosal rolls into the SF of squash mens. randomGuy 1
bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Nikhat Zareen looks pissed off winning bronze at the medal ceremony. Hope this fires her up to do better for the Olympics. Could have sealed a berth for Paris if she had reached the finals. Needs to go through the grind again to qualify for Paris. Only Lovlina has qualified for Paris so far.

Hope 2 are gold and 1 silver - although it's unlikely that Dipika and Sandhu pair will beat the Malay team.
bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Athletics events are starting. We really missed Hima Das this time. Hope she recovers soon. We do need to invest and find some speedsters. No representation in either men/women in the 100m, 100m hurdles.

bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Ok .. looks like silver in Decathlon. The chinese guy is head and shoulders above the rest. 60+m while the rest are between 50 and 55m. Plus it look like Tejaswin has an injury in the shoulder. Unless the Chinese guy falls or completely loses it in the 1500m there is no chance for Tejaswin for gold. Still great job considering it's his first season. He was first in a number of events.
bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Womens 400m hurdles on. Hope Vithya who had the best qualifying time medals.
bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 The lady who won the event looks like a body double for Grace Jones from the James Bond movie
bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Both Indian ladies have no chance to medal at the high jump. Field is just too good for them. Favs are Uzbek and two Kazakhs ladies

bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Indian in second place after the first round of triple jump. Second Indian improves his jump by 0.5 m Hope they cement a place on the podium

Swapna - the Indian lady who was defending champ but came fourth - called her a trans and wanted her eliminated and for her to get bronze instead.
bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 In decathlon the chinese guy has a 290 pt lead over Tejaswin who in turn has a 200 pt lead over bronze place.
bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Arshad Nadeem pulls out of the Asian games due to a bad knee. Should clear the way for Neeraj to win.
Singh bling Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Qatar's imported black player won gold in hurdles. How superior these blacks are winning gold in Asia despite no black population.
bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Chinese 1-2 and INdians 3-4 in Triple jump atm. Gap between the chinese and Indians is 0.3m though. Looks hard to beat. Probably have to settle for bronze
