A lot of the folks here obsess over the Pakistan team.

You want the media/BCCI to treat them as just another team start with yourself. Why fuss about the reception they got? Never seen a thread about the reception Australia or NZ or any other team experienced when they landed.

If we the fans were to treat them like any other team, the media will take the cue.

We know that there will be some folks in the Pak set up who will say something borderline offensive. Our team should do the talking on the field. Don’t feed the trolls by giving them attention.

The entire Muslims support Pak shebang is so done to death. People have been at this since the 90s. Mohd Siraj is a local Hyderabadi player. Sure people won’t root for him, but for Pak

Good post. Too much is being made out of this nonsense. It's just way too easy to bait us.

And our media is the absolute worst. No standards whatsoever.

Treat them like any other team and make it purely about the cricket.

Their trolls are going to go on about it regardless of what happens and will try to rile you up with "Muslims will support Pakistan" trope and will rub it in as much as possible.

If you are too thin-skinned and can't take it, ask what use is Jay Shah for? That's the right question to ask.

Wasn't he appointed by the party the majority of this country voted for?

Why call them for the World Cup here if most don't want it?

Jay Shah should be a proper right wing strongman and make a bold stance and say "We don't want Pakistan here no matter what the financial consequences and hostility from other member boards"

OR

Give up your hosting rights and let the World Cup be played in South Africa with Pakistan it .

But unfortunately, he is a pathetic wet lettuce who would sell the supposed principles he stands for for the moolah that they're team brings in and from which he personally benefits most likely and then let's not all act in mock outrage as if nobody could predict this would happen .

Throw them out of the World Cup. No problem .

Get the cup out of India if you don't have the guts to do that. Acceptable.

But if we and the ones appointed to run our cricket  don't have the courage to do either , then we should be thick  skinned enough to not get affected by it and not let them live rent-free in our heads .

If we dont like what's happening , there is only 1 person to blame and that is Jay Shah. Buck stops with him.

Australian players often talk about a positive experience of coming to India and being adored by fans, at times they say its overwhelming, but the adulation factor is something they never receive to that level ever in Australia.

Many Australian players mention how everyone in India wants to have a photo with them, lol.
