Decent prospect.  Decent technique, temperament promising as well.  Big upgrade over Fakhar 'tukka' Zaman - and for me, a better bat already than Imam with far more shot making ability.

From greenbro perspective, lets hope he gets a proper run and doesn't get lost in the political chaos when he hits his sophomore slump.

Imam is a limited batsman but he sticks to his strengths and rarely makes mistakes. Abdullah needs to get a period of games and go through ups and downs before he can be compared against Imam.

Look at Umar Akmal , Pakistani fans touted him as a next inzy and he was **** once his deficiencies are figured out.

Saim Ayub is a better player.

haven't seen him, but the way some greenbros are creaming their pants talking about him gives off strong Imran Nazir type slogger vibes...

Fakhar is a must on these pitches. Much above Shafique

Fakhar on any pitch is essentially hit or miss.

Pak need to move beyond tukka players and develop proper batsmen especially for top order.

He is good with pull shot and pace bowling.

Saeed Anwar type classy timer of the ball.

Good temperament. Something Shubman needs to work on.

Didn't look rushed at all in the chase against SL. Looks a lit late against short ball.

pulled a Cummins 140k ball for a nice boundary in today's game.  Has the raw game.  Needs experience and development.  Never easy in PAK cricket setup.

He's okay in terms of technique.

Nothing special. Nothing about his batting makes him stand out from the rest.

By Greenbro standards he's a major find.

Definitely 'better' batting toolkit than Imam who is at best a steady bat.

Was dropped on boundary before that and miscued one pull off Hazlewood. Finally Stoinis got him with one.

But yes, can work on it. Even Kohli struggled badly in WI in 2011 against bouncers but worked on that.
