Is he biggest parchi to play cricket at this level? If you look at his stats I mean, he looks like an ATG. But, when you see him bat against half a decent side - he looks like a tail ender.

tapandrun Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 This is a general issue with Pak batting line-up right now. 3/4 batters playing cricket to 90's- play at SR of 80-90 try getting up to you 100 and then take some risky shots afterwards. In current day and time this approach does not help specially with wkts and grounds like Ind, playing conservative selfish cricket will not help. For impetus they rely on Iftikar, Shadab and Nawaz to get some quick runs in the end Ind too has same problem but they are trying to overcome it with Rohit attacking from 1st over and trying to create some momentum and Kolhi and Gill to build on it. Ind is playing cricket of early to mid 2000s.

Averages 70 vs Australia at 90 SR Averages 55 vs England, 46 vs SA & around 48 vs Sri Lanka. Can't understand what more people want from him. Become ABD and score at 200+ SR. He has very good & solid technique, much better than other hoickers that I have seen from Pak over past few years. He is a class batter, you don't play inns like this in England if you were a dud. It's not his fault that bowlers can't win the matches.
