There is no excuse for KL & RAT going 20 overs without scoring a boundary after being 80/2 after 10

There is a difference between careful and a run crawl. I disagree  that fans wanted a run crawl.

 

See there is no difference between scoring 150 and losing the match and scoring 250 and losing the match. In both cases the result is the same - defeat.

 

If you bat first, there should still be a target. At least 300 and keep a run rate for that. From 81/3 to 148/4 in 19 overs of batting is disgraceful no matter how much you try to sugarcoat it. What happened after 148/4  was also bad with 92 runs in  final 21 overs. But the 67 runs in the mid 19 overs took the cake for slow and selfish batting. 

 

If batsmen 5,6,7 are going to score 66/107 and 9/22 and 18/28 for a total of 93/157 balls - we are not going to win against Australia. 

 

Most fans don't care if it is

 

240 runs and lose a match

or

150 runs and lose a match

or

36 runs and lose a match.

 

Lose a match is lose a match. Period.
