Impact sub rule makes it very easy for Nuwan to play.

It's the air, you just need to have the ball pitched up enough & if the seam's relatively upright it will swing anywhere on earth. What you saw there was also good seam movement.

It's pointing towards (right hander's) fine leg actually, about 30-60 degrees right to what you'd see with a conventional outswing. Second first quadrant IIRC.

Entire toyger top order failed to read him.   

This pacer definitely has better control on his seam position and point of release than the likes of Pathirana.

I saw the clips again and that's because of the alignment of his body and arms. But the seam position is still at an angle to the line along which his arm is coming down. 

 

And he is swinging the ball from leg and middle to the off-stump.
