IPL has proven to be a double edged sword. On one hand it has given us a bigger talent pool, and financial security to players. OTOH, it has pushed the importance of performing at intl level to the back-burner. There's not much pressure or incentive to perform in ICC tourneys. Fans are sated with IPL and don't really care even if we get knocked out consistently in ICC tourneys. All it takes is for IPL to start and they forget what transpired in ICC tourneys.
