We're forced to play Dube as we didn't carry a middle order batsman like Rinku. There's no place for Chahal in the squad and an extra batsman was needed.

T20 needs just 45 mins play to decide a 5 over match, which is the minimum overs required to constitute a T20 game. There'll be enough break in there to get 45 mins of cricket in. ODIs are a different matter as you need sides to play 20 overs a side to get the result.

A 5 over match will mean that USA wont be hammered by ireland and so NRR difference will be minimum. So basically pak has to beat both ireland and canada handsomely to get a positive run rate over USA.

NRR wouldn't be a factor as all the games have been pretty close. Nobody has really hammered anyone other than India beating Ireland comfortably. So if US loses to India and Ireland, and Pak win their next two, chances are Pak will end up with a better NRR.

India should give exposure both to Samson and Jaiswal in the next 2 matches for just in case scenario. If India wins next game they should sit Kohli out and replace with Jaiswal. Samson should anyway replace Dube.

West Indies aren't losing to both NZ and AFG.  Also, NZ don't have the firepower to crush minnows especially with Conway, Williamson and Bracewell in that top 7.
