He was 23, married I last year to Smriti Singh. It was such a heartfelt message she delivered at the award function I was feeling sorry for his family and today His parents are accusing that she ran away with all the awarded money! It’s very unfortunate that the whole family fued is done in public. His parents should know better. They have disregarded his sacrifice Gollum 1

We need recruitment drives back to tackle China and Pakistan and not save salaries like Dhando guys are doing as per Bakshi sahab. Gollum 1

Not to turn this discussion on Agniveer politics, They are saving on pensions and not salary , that can be used to modernize weaponry. No sh** they won't deploy then in JK. We needed excessive modernization first to bring that stuff up...which is nowhere close to happen. Absolute pathetic strategy that has blown up on our faces. We need to continue build a strong airforce and navy, along with space program. Agniveer can at any point be made regular or even recalled.

As of now we are in no position to be in conflict in any case. That's why Modi's embrace of Putin so openly is understandable as consensus seems to be that Russian would keep Chinese in check. Many soldiers die in just first of marriage. Hardly any bond is established between daughter in law and parents. According to Hindu succession act wife ,mother ,children are class 1 legal heir which should equally get what the deceased have left. Army should adopt same approach or they should just ask all soldiers to update nominee on monthly basis as army is high risk job.

No way, most HR benefits and Insurance money goes by nomination of the personnel. They get to choose how much each kin gets. There is no automatic choice. Yogi govt gave him money and they gave it both wife and parents. Army and insurance went by his nomination. He had nominated only wife. Dad is a pensioner from Army, well to do and the mother is covered. They will certainly not die in poverty. They needn’t have said “paisa leke bhag gayi” Blame RaGa for using their situation to get them give sound bytes on Agniveer in promising change of policy in NOK. Chootiya saala.
