Pakistan are good at a sport when it is semi-professional and not many teams are present.

 

The moment it becomes professional Pakistan simply can't match investment/infrastructure and decline.

 

Bangladesh will become better in all 3 formats undisputed in the next decade. Afghanistan, by concentrating only on white ball and having access to IPL riches should also be a better white ball team. Even SL matches them well with a population of only 20 million.

 

Nepal etc might also compete well in 15-20 years. Then maybe some non Asian teams as well.

I’ve met many Indian kumars. If it wasn’t common then Harold & Kumar wouldn’t be a thing, also Sangakara’s first name is Kumar.

The likes of Naseem Shah, Wahab Riaz would have been on the levels of Waqar Younis if they got to bowl with tampered balls like in the 80s & 90s. Not to mention their extremely biased home umpiring before 1994-95. 

 

No wonder Pakistani 'ATG' pacers of past have much better records playing on Ultra flat & slow home pitches than on pace friendly SENA pitches.

 

Can't believe why more Indians don't call out these past cheaters, ball tamperers, chukers and dopers.

Legacy effect.

 

As those Indians (And other countrymen) start getting older and the cricketing establishment gets filled with newer people who have never seen a strong Pak team, Pak's legacy will be forgotten - like Uruguay in football or Pak itself in hockey.

 

Thing is the two W's retired more than 20 years ago and the vast majority of Indians or Pakistanis have never seen a single ball by them live.

Again, Kumar isn't a name anymore. Many folks use it as a surname, though. It's similar to "Khan".
No one calls Bhuvaneshwar or Vinay or Praveen with their surnames...even no one calls Sangakkara as Kumar, not even British or Auzzie commies.
In west (specially UK) they have a habit of calling someone with their surnames as Mr. Kumar, Mr. Singh etc. US being US picked it up and gave it's own flavour.

My parents are big fan of Raj Kapoor and Dileep Kumar, my mother likes Smitha Patel & Shabana Azmi, she thinks their acting was on another level compared to current generation.
