Ultimate_Game
On the historic win away from home, and white-washing Pakistan. I didn't expect the B'desh team to beat Pak in Pak, and that too in Tests, and thought they don't have the mental toughness to win away from home. But I was wrong! This was an amazing performance by B'desh and the whole team stood up. The best part was that they fought back from situations from where they crumbled in the past. In the first Test they faced a 1st innings total of 450 and were 200/5. They came back to take the lead and win the match by 10 wkts! And in the 2nd Test they went one better. They were 26/6 and won from that situation! Plus while chasing the total in the 4th innings they showed no nerves at all. IMO this can be the watershed moment in their cricketing history which propels them to bigger and better things. They threatened doing so around 2015-2016 when Mustafizur emerged on the scene and they beat Pak and India in ODI series at home. But for some reason they regressed. This time seems different. B'desh always had good spinners but now they've decent pacers too in Nahid, Taskin and Hasan Mahmud with Mustafizur in white-ball. Very impressed by youngsters like Nahid, Mehidy and Mahmud. Looks like this is the golden generation B'desh was waiting for! Hope this win lays the foundation for bigger successes - as long as they don't come against India! Congrats to B'desh fans such as @YourBrotherLitton and others Edited Tuesday at 02:06 PM by Ultimate_Game YourBrotherLitton, singhvivek141, bowl_out and 2 others 5 Link to comment
YourBrotherLitton
Thank you so much for the warm welcome first and congratulating us brother, I really appreciate it. I can't blame you as my expectations were low for this series too, and I never imagined we would beat Pakistan, not just in one Test but in two, and that too away from home. This test win will inspire in creating more future Litons, Miraz and Nahids hopefully. Also thanks brother @Tillu for creating the match thread, you are our lucky charm. RizBarKhan
Congratulations to Bangladesh, a great victory to cap off the recent revolution. Bangladesh seems like a whole new country now, they’re ushering in a new era in all fields and are leaving the rest of the subcontinent in the dust. Pakistan and all the other countries in the region should learn from Bangladesh’s success in both cricket and how they have a functioning civil society. Why this tune sounds similar to "We shall overcome" ? Is the same song in Bengali as well. Edited Tuesday at 03:04 PM by singhvivek141 YourBrotherLitton 1 Link to comment

That WI series was due to a second string WI team put together as their most of their starters and some others walked out due to contract negotiations. That WI team was no better than a B team. But this was against Pak's best team. As for NZ, yes they did win the match but winning a series, and that too by a whitewash, is much more significant. To me this result has to be the best result in their cricketing history. cricspirit 1 Link to comment

It's important to have these successes to pave the way for future generation & youngsters. As an example if we didn't have Gavaskar, there wouldn't have been a Tendulkar, Kapil paved the way for Bumrah and others, 1983 WC win inspired a whole generation. It's a process and takes time. Glad B'desh is on its way! YourBrotherLitton 1 Link to comment
