also inflation is a lagging indicator, you won’t see their impact until latter. If there is one person who can predict where it going it is the CEO of Walmart. The place where ppl who are looking to save money go to.

 

 

On Thursday, Walmart CEO Doug McMillon said his company's costs keep climbing: "We've continued to see our costs increase each week, which we expect will continue into the third and fourth quarters," he said on an earnings call.

If all countries got tarrif then it will be born by the people buying the products. Like Indian govt has 100% tarrif on luxury cars imported so who bears that tarrif? Exporter? No. Indian citizens who buy that imported car. 31 lacs Tesla EV costs 62 lacs in India ex-showroom.

If the exporter want to sell and buyer has options, then the exporter will have to eat its own margins rather hurt the buyer.

 

Time will tell who is more desperate. The seller from India or the buyer from US.

I think eventually  inflation will show up in US now it will start showing  in perishable items soon  and

for other goods it will take time as shipment  from India can take upto couple  months reach end customers.

 

Exporter can't  sell at loss so eventually he will have  find of different  customer or pass on the cost. I think  it will be bit of shared burden , but if he has monopoly in India he  might increase  cost India to offset losses  but most of cases it  won't be as there will be competition

This is dream team with dream project. If this clicks, this insane disruption can change working of governments and bureaucracy across the world. There can be for the first time non left institutions and strain of thought that is recognised and institutionalised.
