Probably EU is gonna put sanctions too soon. These guys should now show some common sense considering the geopolitical situation right now. it’s just not worth it to be cornered.

Not as easy as it sounds, where is the spare capacity to replace Russian oil? by targeting India and asking only India to not buy Russia oil, only India needs to find 40% of our consumption from a costly source. America & their GCC friends enjoy selling their high priced oil to US. that deal isn’t going to work.

EU is buying refined Russian oil indirectly from India. Without India buying Russia oil, crude oil prices would have skyrocketed by now. World should thank India to keep crude oil prices in check. No country with self dignity in the world aligns with US currently but due to their security concerns these countries can’t defy openly but see India as their voice.

In comparison, price is controlled currently. And ethanol is more expensive than petrol though I don't agree with ethanol mixing in petrol but it is saving govt forex and generating employment in India.

I am sure you know the global oil prices from 2004 to 2014. It will help correct your analysis A better comparison would be price of petrol in India before buying from Russia and before ethanol mixing with what is the price now.
