Manufacturing is 100% his fault. Factories take 4 years to set up. But long run if more factores set up base then it will be a rise.

What's happening in manufacturing isn't a result of the time it takes to build capacity, tariffs have essentially increased the cost of raw materials, compliance requirements are additional costs. Manufacturing isn't a high margin business, so there is less room to cushion these, the cost is being passed to the consumer. Consumer already impacted by economic uncertainty is reducing consumption, also constantly changing tariff & regulatory structure is making it hard to plan.

Indian information warfare is objectively the one of the worst in the world. Only matched by the EAM who advertises to the world what India intends to be if it becomes another China.

Good god A grade level buffoons...  Even Pak media remained silent when their lobbyists were in WH.

India needs a firewall desperately

So true about this one..

3 US$ 4 trillion India has more gumption than US$ 19.5 trillion GDP Europe

Trump barely less than 1 year in. This time next year they will hate Trump manifold compared to Modi. Trump will attack a lot of liberal institutions. Prices rises from tarriffs too yet to show.

See truth is trump is 100% right to tackle china. To the best of his ability. It needed to be done. But his treatment of allies or friendly nations makes it very hard geopolitically for the usa.

Hyundai style ICE raid on a Infosys and WIPRO to make a spectacle for MAGA is definitely not far fetched.

Koreans never saw it coming lmao

Yup, I think they will certainly do this. If they could do this to Koreans who are much higher up the chain, they would love to see some brown skin Indians in chains

Indian maga have no idea what’s coming for them, they just think it won’t happen to them.

I am kinda surprised as well they went for Koreans before us.

Might be wrong but idea could be to trigger furore in India.. TDP could come under pressure.

We think too much of ourselves. India is not centre piece although we get more attention than we used to now.

Americans dont care much for anyone including Europeans. Perhaps the only exception they might have is for Irish and Brits.

If MIB ministry was a serious branch... India Today and other media groups reporting this should have been met with $1.8 million fines instantly.

There is no other way this Dehati media learns the lesson.

Don’t think these “tarrifs” are that big of a deal in inflation numbers. Most estimates expect like 0.05 per month contribution. And that’s still ongoing. We had some in July but inventories are adjusting. So it’s like 0.3-0.5 overall effect by the end of the year - one time.

The major component is and will ALWAYS be housing. Now the thing over there is that elevated mortgage rates have cooled that market. New housing especially is down like 5-6 percent year on year will all the discounts and everything. Even existing ones are not as hot as expected - mostly flat. Owners equivalent rent -  that’s based on existing leases (that actually contributes to CPI) is a lagged driver. And that I is probably rising this month due to lagged effects.

Supercore services (wages), Healthcare inflation if any is structural - labor shortage / demand/ insurance adjustment and not really a tariff thing. Unless something massive happens to drug prices - extremely unlikely.

As long as they don’t go overboard with the rate cuts, it’s fine. But balancing that with the slowing economy will be an interesting exercise.

Apparently the south korean workers were not paid same wage as locals. Were paid 60% salary as locals and lived in a dorm.

If true, then blunt truth is Trump 100% has a point.

Personally have no issue if Trump does call out something that is clearly illegal as per us law. If motel owners are employing illegal labour and truckers cant speak English to read road signs 100% need to hulimiated for breaking the law.

Korea china known for doing this. Goi sent back many chinese working on tourist visa in factories of chinese electronic firms.

Would not be surprised if many koreans are on tourist visa in india and working in hyundai car plants.

Indians do this in IT

See we need to ackowledge the following

A) America has witnessed a spike in illegal immigration under Biden. This was not sustainable.

B) Indian illegal immigration to Usa too has spiralled in recent years. This is also case with Vietnamese etc.

C) The H1b program is abused and needs reform.

D) India does have very high tarrifs. Navarro is a lier on multiple things, but he is right here.

We would applaud Modi gov for deporting illegal Bangladeshis from India. We should maintain same consistency.

What we should be rightly angry about

A) The extra 25% tarrif levied on us based on buying Russian oil. I was cool with no deal and 25%. But this extra 25% plain injustice. You cant stop the russia ukraine war, is on you.

B) Meddling in India Pak affairs and subtly backing Pakistan.

C) Trying to push f35 on india when its not the right fit for us.

But where is the inconsistency. India was one of the first countries to accept illegals back, no conditions attached. Dont think thats the issue.

For me the larger issue is that NRIs are being used as a tool to pressure Indian govt. And I see concerted effort in all 5 eye countries.
