Are you willing to lose the last test to save Bumrah (And Siraj)

Man I am crying. Just watched that video on reddit. I can't handle this anymore. Just rest him for the last test, not a long break. We will see a clear picture of what we are capable of and also save him for champions trophy. We have won at Gabba last time without him, it is not impossible, but one can consider Sydney to be a loss going by our series performance.

I know he will start fresh after 4 days but I just can't stand Rohit captaining him. For all his 15 years of experience, he does not know how to use a fast bowler. Just gives him a short spell anytime and brings him back after 20 minutes. Never felt more disgusted by an Indian player.

He and Siraj bowled close to 130 overs. Starc and Cummins close to 120. The difference should have been higher but Australia won a test by 10 wickets. I can understand Siraj blowing hot and cold throughout the series.

They have played extra bowlers in the name of Reddy and Washington but hardly using them. If they are not sure about their utility, why they haven't tried 4 pacers? What was the need to have both Jadeja and Washi when the later batted at a tailender position. There are absolutely zero attempts from our side manage our bowler's workload.

Getting batting till 9 is an attempt to reduce the chances of a loss (and increase draw). It does not actually strengthen our team as we are a bowler short because of it.

Cummins will exceed 130 overs this innings; he also didn't bowl (almost) in 2nd innings of 3rd test. The real issue is not just number of overs, but the horrible distribution of them. Someone like rahane knew how to rotate bowlers better and keep them fresher.

the one where bumrah is saying he cannot bowl anymore.

That is so sad. Fitness coaches, selectors, captain, coach, bowling and others involved should all be answerable. How are there no other half decent bowlers? Why is Rana so out of shape? Then again, how can there be a culture of fitness when the captain himself is a helium balloon.

indian physical fitness is generally average to subpar.

Unfortunately, fast bowlers are way under appreciated in Cricket. They put in the most amount of work. In Baseball at least, pitchers are almost required to skip games. Teams don't rely on one pitcher to be available in every game of the series.

Bumrah deserves significant time off (multiple months). Unfortunately, Champions Trophy is right around the corner after BGT.

Whatever happens this test, India should hope they get to bat first.

Also even if India lose today at least stretch it past tea and get overs in the Aus bowlers.

Aus bowlers have high fitness. I don't think overs bowled matters as much. bumrah-siraj are far more out of gas.

I agree, Bumrah needs rest.

Doesn't matter anymore, he can't be crucified just coz our captain is dumb and our senior batters are joke.

if over rate penalties apply and we lose the test - both are very likely IMO - then we will be out of WTC in all likelihood. therefore, we can just give boom a break.

Bumrah is carrying the team.

Australia were 96/6 at one point. And that was all due to him.

Rohit and Kohli have to go. They have done their time.

where will they go? who will drop them? ans: nowhere and no-one, respectively

They can go to MI & RCB...

Rohit can alternatively settle down in US just like Kohli is in UK....

that's what they should do. but they won't be dropped since BCCI lacks the balls to do so

Since the days of Srinivasan, selectors have become the puppets of seniors.

Losing 0-8 in Australia & England...yet Shri Mahendra Bahubali was not removed from captaincy.

Defeat at home against NZ and now losing all in Australia without battling, yet BCCI will do nothing.

How many series should we sacrifice ?, just coz these 2 are "legends" of the game.
