Also Starc who was 1/111 at MCG and he averages 44+ at SCG and who had some fitness issues at MCG is still in the side.

Starc was good in first 2-3 tests, irrespective of how many wkts he took. I think that he is why he's still in the squad.

Said it before, the oldies in the Aussie side badly need a series win here so they can justify hanging around till end of Ashes series in 12 months' time (which is the endgame it seems a significant number of them have in mind).

Hindustan Times claims multiple changes, including Jurel for Pant (bad), someone for Akashdeep (okay if Akash is injured), and dropping one of the spin ARs for a pacer (bad, because SCG aids spinners to an extent, and batting becomes even weaker). No mention of parasitic Ro-Ko being dropped

RoKo PR will drop 20cr in Gambhir's wife's offshore account. They can't be touched. There is simply WAY too much money riding on those two and more specifically Kohli. 

 

Besides, how lovely does that stadium look? Indian stadiums are still in 1950s despite the money. Shame.

Hey I am not complaining about Starc - he averages 56.xx  for 7 wickets in 3 matches vs India at SCG.

 

Even in this series except the night pink ball test, he has been mostly ineffective.

 

May he continue with what he has done at the SCG vs India.

 

As Napoleon said - never interrupt an opponent when he is making a mistake.

Akashdeep who in general is a super fit bowler is now deemed unfit.

Same happened with Kuldeep Sen, back issue and now he has vanished from the surface of cricket.

 

Hope that doesn't happen with Akashdeep.

 

But this is Indian Cricket...bowlers are treated like trash bag, specially inexperienced ones who don't have any godfather and had toiled hard to climb through ranks....

I think Starc usually underperforms vs. us, but does show up in some useful moments. that's why they continue to play him. he is better than deadweight marsh
