Post Oval 2021 his batting was absolutely dog*it.   Entire ICF was in favour to dump him for good.

Fitness was all over the place too.  Age factor as well.

 

We could have used him as 4th seamer instead of playing 2nd spinner just coz he could bat. As a bowler he's still better than Reddy.

Was never super fit even when picked.

He was one genuine swing bowler we had, a relatively safe fielder, & could probably score half the runs Nitish scored down the order? The biggest problem obviously were the two sarkari damads at the top.

India better take him there. Looking at Brydon carse i can already sense phainty waiting for our Kings, Princes, HItmans.  India's only chance is by restricting them to low scores as our batting will fall apart against them.
