BCCI has  started  the camp for future fast bowling  stars - The fast Bowlers are Khaleel, Tushar Deshpande, Vijayakumar Vyshak, Yash Thakur, Raj Bawa, Yudhvir Singh,  Anshul Kamboj.

The camp should have included Sen,Tyagi also

Deshpande is 30 already, Khaleel is 28 , Kamboj is meh based on what we have seen so far and Vyshak looks like another Kamboj so only 3 with good potential.

Such an awful list, what is BCCI thinking?

Yash Thakur bowling

He clocks 140 k+ regularly in FC cricket.

IPL was his big chance. He looked like an average trundler there

Do not think there is any serious effort or foresightedness shown here, they are nt picking the right personal for the job.

They sent - Aquib, Salam and Kambooj, deshpandey to emerging cups, the A teams do not induct the right kind of bowlers. Fast bowlers are either not getting game time or are injured during the domestic seasons.

If they are serious about it there is only 1 solution left is that to call the suited bowlers (tall fast who can consistently bowl fast)--Rana, Sen, Simarjeet, barar, Mayank (if he not injure any more) , Umran, Tyagi, etc  and bring these bowlers to NCA and make them bowl 20-25 over per-day in a match kind of setting not just nets.

May be do it for 2 month under some1 who know what fast bowling is and there should be speedometers to register their speeds during the different spells. This is the only way to build the fast bowling unit. Have seasons after season the faster bowlers are benched by domestic team fr some trundler and then season ends.

Was quick in an earlier IPL, probably 2024. Regularly touched 145 k.

The videos seem dated. If he's the same Yash Thakur I am thinking of (LSG), he's quite a bit pudgier these days. Doesn't look very fastbowler-athlete type.

I think IPL should be used to identify not pick bowlers. In IPL sometimes batsmen use the pace. So they have to resort to slow balls. There is no way we can find out how fast they bowl for long periods. They have to including accurate speed measurements in domestic cricket. Also need AI anaylsis of what their speeds in various spells. They have to gather pitch maps of these high pace deliveries. BCCI has enoromous weatlh to implement this.

I'm not talking about slower ball or average speeds but top speeds

Even then anybody can clock 145k for few balls. If we want test bowler we have to look else where. For instance guys like Deepak chahar could have been handy in English conditions as he swings miles. But not fit enough even for 4 overs.

Test and t20s are 2 diff sports now, And getting any Ind fast bowler from IPL is near to Impossible. Retired bowlers like Bhuvi, Ishant are still 1st choice for teams then there are some t20 specialist who have those variations. No IPL coach or captain is risking it with an unfinished article and they have no time work with them and develop them so most of them either sit on bench for whole season or play 1-2 garbage time games or if picked early if they cost some runs they are dropped.

Identifying test bowlers from IPL is hard and nearly impossible, viashak bowled a good t20 spell in that match vs gt but will that kind of bowling work in test ?---no.

These days even getting into domestic team needs some kind of backing from IPL franchise.

BCCI have to have a different track and a program for test bowlers they have to take it as personal project.Bring tall fast bowlers into NCA work with them in full match kind of scenario not in the nets, monitor their speed and spread over the different spells and how they bowl and how to rest and recover.

Has umran improved from IPL, has tyagi got anywhere with IPL, Prashid still lows unfinished article.

From IPL all you get are LA/RA nothing bowlers like Avesh, mukesh etc who always remain the 2nd-3rd string team materials can not graduate to 1st playing 11 or ICC event kind of bowler. Ind took half fit shami for CT-25 what else do we need to see.

IPL is good for T20s and Odis selection but test is different.
