They both are fast and run hard. They make bad decisions often in going for runs. But it's not always their fault no matter who gets out.

Picked Virat for the Poll but generally never thought of him as a selfish runner. Selfish in other aspects but not running.

 

 

 

 

 

Selfishness comes in when you have the chance to give your wicket up to save better batter. Kohli had the chance to do so with Jaiswal in Australia and a few other times where he was quick to scamper back instead of letting his partner be saved and sacrificing himself on behalf of the team. Kohli has never done that.

Kohli and Jadeja both are good runners though and save runs in field

 

Selfish : Running quick and saving runs in field, sometimes causing wickets

 

Selfless : Looking like a halwai, slogging because you can't bat long. Standing in slips because you can't run and still dropping sitters

Nearly every game where Kohli bats for some time features runouts or near misses. His modus operandi is taking a few steps, stopping and turning around to leave his partner high and dry. Happens on a consistent basis now.

There should be a video on how many batting partners Kohli sold down the river. And then he makes that shocked face as if it wasn't his fault
