bowl_out Posted May 5, 2025 Posted May 5, 2025 Vipraj Nigam for me. Primarily from a utility standpoint. He can straightaway slot into the T20 side where we were playing Bishnoi. He can be very handy with the bat as well. Next is Priyansh. Third is Ayush Mathre. Vaibhav has great hitting talent, but I would like to see him play a few more innings. He did get lucky with some edges to third man which could have gotten him much earlier. Lord, cricspirit and Ultimate_Game 2 1

Plus he has a pretty sound technique and is not just a T20 player. All 4 of these are pretty close to each other but Mhatre's ceiling seems higher. But if you've to pick one of them in the Indian team, it would be Vipraj as he is ideal multi-skilled player who can bowl and bat. Same with Parag who also should be part of the Indian team when playing in sub-continent - can give you overs with the ball and an ideal batter in LOIs. tweaker 1

He still has many rough edges, but hope he can keep a humble brain and not get carried away by the adulation and media frenzy. I still cannot believe that a 14 year old smashed the second fastest IPL hundred ever. I hope he doesn't go the Vijay Zol way.
