I just feel (unsure?) that the car makes more noise now.

If you can share what options are you going with in the EV. Majority have some or the other flaw. Plus can we assume elec prices won't jump significantly to keep the cost per km below diesel and petrol

" Compatibility by BS6 Stage BS6 Phase 2 Vehicles (post-April 2023): These vehicles are designed to be fully compatible with E20 fuel, meaning they can run on it without significant mileage drops or engine damage. Earlier BS6 Vehicles (before April 2023): These models are generally E10-compliant, and while not all are compatible with E20, some may handle it with minimal efficiency loss. For these vehicles, it's essential to verify E20 compatibility with the manufacturer." New cars after April 23 are all e20 complaint. Govt brought e20 petrol 5 yrs too early.

It has to be a phased introduction of this. As of now , cars between 2018-2022 aren't going to give too much mileage. My car is a 2015 model car but the point still holds.

India can think about the climate when we industrialize to the position where we can think about it. The rich goras in Europe/usa did * all about climate etc during their rise and now want to come up and preach to Indians and other countries about saving the world. Let them pay their carbon tax while india comes to a position where it can better itself and their population. Every environmental norm drastically cuts down mileage (especially on diesel vehicles) and increases logistic charges.

As of today yes, it is cheaper but with serial petrol hybrids coming in and elec prices going up difference may not be much.

Most of them are glorified hatchbacks with higher ground clearance being marketed as sub 4m SUV's. Discounting the Tiago and the MG Comet, Punch is the most affordable EV. Not a fan of the arse as well but it is what it is. pkmmamks 1
