Is India's foreign policy flawed or is India's growth causing rivals / adversaries / regional hegemons to all conspire against India ?

I am not claiming Europe or NATO is right in their world view, it doesn't matter. It is the their view, just like it don't matter if Pakistan is right claiming Kashmir, it their view. Their actions will be diven by this world view.

Results are what matters. Look at Bibi, he clearly understood all Trump cares about is a photo-op & nomination for nobel peace prize. He gave trump what he wanted & continues to ignore CF & do as he pleases. Here we are taking Rahul gandhi's bait confronting Trump on how the CF came to be & loosing out on larger strategic goals.

Pak understood it too & gave trump what he wanted, now has strained Ind-US stratergic relationship. If you ask me Pak would be right to think Pahalgam was totally worth it, chinese support during actual conflict tested, sure they lost some terrorists & got bombed but the military is back in favor. The cherry on top of all this is that US which until recently claimed India had the right to defend itself was more neutral & now has taken a more pro pak stance. With the new found US backing they are more beligerent rather than detered by Op Sindhoor.

MEA's job isn't to win a debate but to win international support for its positions.

It was always India’s FP stand that no other country can mediate on Kashmir and Pak always wanted international mediation. It would be against national interests to give in to Trump bullying and give him credit for CF. Any photo-op with Munir would have been political suicide for Modi. Bibi can do photo-op because he wants US support and weapons with or without Trump. Same with garbage truck driver Munir.  India will have roll their Mercedes with Russia, France and others. Less dependent on unreliable US , it’s better for India

US wants pak for Iran. They want intelligence on Iran nothing more than that. Pak is going to provide that. U.S. also wants India to not buy Russian oil but buy in open market where American companies get profits. India interests are served in this case if India aligns with USA and some of them will be detrimental to Iran and Russia relations. All this Pakistan romance will only last till Iran remains their priority. Ukraine war came at a wrong time for us but it did bring cheap oil. There is opportunity in every difficult situation. Once the Russia Ukraine issue is settled we will be ok. But what US has done is pushed India in to Russia and china arms more. This has been building for a while India was not given GE engines for Tejas. This is a blunder for US foreign relationship than India’s.

Well I agree on Kashmir mediation, but what makes you even think Trump cares about it? his previous statement until the recent conflict was "I am sure they will figure it out".

I don't like him, as I stated multiple times I wanted kamala from the prespective of India. But you need to face reality, he is the POTUS, & known to be extermely petty. All he wants is credit for the CF, has bibi shared a photop with Hamas, has Bibi held to the terms of the cease fire?  He just paid lip service, massaged Trumps ego & went about doing whatever he wants to do. Just say you appreciate his help in making Pakistan understand their losing position & suing for peace, refuse any pohoto ops ith Munir. He would have moved on.

If this was bridge too far, just ignore him on this, & move on. if bloomberg reporting was true the call Modi had trying to tell Trump that his claims of trade leverage as the reason for CF weren't true went horribly wrong, they made this even worse by deciding to provide a read out of the call & publicly humiliating trump. Honestly who thought it was a good idea to publicly humilate Trump, with a trade negotiations & our tejas program dependent on American engines on the line?

who was going to vote based on how the CF came about in bihar elections or the next general elections in 2029? what have we achived by confronting him? he still continues to claim he was responsible for the CF & seems to be sabotaging the trade deal with harsher terms. I frankly don't see an upside to confronting Trump on his claims, it looks like Modi took Rahul Gandhi's bait.

Oil is the main thing man. India can’t buy oil in the open market compared to what Russian is offering. Our economy is a toast if we do that. Manufacturing is coming to India whether someone likes it or not. Indian middle class is growing and has strong demand for iPhone and other luxury items. If you are a market companies will come. Apple will move manufacturing. US can put tariffs but it will hurt them long term. U.S. will loose partners in the region. India wants to be partner not an ally or vassal state.India is done stringing along for long. US keep the khalistanis and other elements to stoke unrest in India and wants India ? How does that work ? India doesn’t want seat at the table India is the table.

Nothing is granted, tariffs are making companies to drop the idea of China + 1.

My point was more about investment.

I think for all the **** that we give the gov for likes of Ladli Bahna etc India in asian emerging economies has been fairly conservative at a time nearly all other South asian nations have been an economic basket case and need different degrees of IMF assistance.

This needs to be acknowledged.  External debt as % GDP has been stable at 18-19%. Overall, debt-to-GDP has been stable post-COVID at 80% of GDP.
