Aussies are not the sort whonare averse to giving old journeymen their chance. Not ever player you produce is going to play 15 yrs and score runs at 45+ avg.

Yeah Kellaway will face stiff competition for that opening spot with Konstas.  

Ideally both should open in the Ashes with old man Khawaja done.

 

Harry Dixon the Warner clone from the U19 batch will be seen in ODIs.  He isn't a tulla like McGurk.

 

This current golden U19 batch of Australia will be a world beater in next 3-4 years.

Reminds of 2018 Indian U19 batch.  So many high potential talented players

Aussie mentality and their domestic cricket is higher level than ours.

 

Look at the players they have moved on from for this A tour, Kurtis Patterson, Marcus Harris, Renshaw, Bancroft... These guys dominate shield cricket.  These guys are at their peak.

 

Investment on younger talent always pays off.  These A series should be for potential players not has beens.  As I said Easwaran isn't the top batter in domestic anymore anyways.

Vidler got injured... Back stress injury got ruled out for this series.  Easily best pacer of last U19 WC.

 

 

 

Beardman was picked for Eng T20Is last year. Didn't played.

he played bbl this season and bowled mid to high 130kmph , effort ball touched 140 kmph.

 

but aus bowler have trend of increasing pace and reaching peak pace by 23-25

Aus uses A tours specially Ind A tours to give exposure and test the player they think are top potential and if they can handle spin condition.

 

They already know how to play bounce and pace and then check them in Ind condition, you get proper idea where are short comings and how to fix it.

It would hardly happen that they get to know that this player can not play leg-side or off-side or short-ball. If not v.specific to a certain series they would hardly get a player who can not play both spin and pace in the test side.

 

Same for t20i sides they would not get player who are not v.good hitters , imagine Ind batter able to play  archer(in his prime) in test to not play t20i , marnus played only 1 t20i.

They are v.good at identifying the player. Think their system has actual knowledge of what works and what does not, rest of the systems just have theories rather having ground level knowledge

Let's look at his bowling this way, he needs to get exposure, the team needs to win, with both in mind, the captain has more faith in him than the other two pacers who are closer and have played in the Indian team...so most probably good.
