But they can do basic stuff so people don't have to travel to cities for it

Even remote areas of Tellapur are being sold at 7.5-8k per sqft...while most of the roads dont even have street light and the roads are all dug up.

Someone will get OCI only if they renounce Indian citizenship and takes on the foreign country citizenship but after that usually they don’t invest in India. Investing in India is a big problem. The biggest problem is trust no one knows if the person selling is legit even if he is legit someone might occupy the land. If you cross all these still you need to get money back to host country ex in U.S. you can’t bring more than 10,000 back. You have to pay tax in India and U.S. if you want to bring money. You are loosing money in the India. Even after all these the currency rate will screw you. Imagine buying land in India when the dollar was 50 now it is 88. You lost money there as well. It's individuals responsibility to renunciate the Indian passport.
