Yeah it’s better at least in that aspect here.  Not much wait required

India is still best for doctor availability only problem is trust. Lot of hospitals and doctors are not trustworthy even the govt doesn’t enforce if a person has proper credentials to be a doctor. I remember reading a tweet from NRI that his father was treated by person who not a doctor.

You can't stop NRIs to buy. They are Indians. OCI should be banned from buying any property in India

yeah in rural areas especially, fake doctors or unqualified doctors are common. But they can do basic stuff so people don't have to travel to cities for it

I believe this infra push is the greatest transfer of wealth from Tax payers to Babu's, contractor's and neta's. Remember all this is debt fueled. If the assets become worthless like this, Rs.200 for a Dollar is not so far away. :facepalm:

Best example...the real estate prices of Hyderabad.

Even remote areas of Tellapur are being sold at 7.5-8k per sqft...while most of the roads dont even have street light and the roads are all dug up.

by your logic no Indian should be allowed to buy property outside India

Indian vs not Indian citizen. Someone will get OCI only if they renounce Indian citizenship and takes on the foreign country citizenship but after that usually they don’t invest in India. Investing in India is a big problem. The biggest problem is trust no one knows if the person selling is legit even if he is legit someone might occupy the land. If you cross all these still you need to get money back to host country ex in U.S. you can’t bring more than 10,000 back. You have to pay tax in India and U.S. if you want to bring money. You are loosing money in the India. Even after all these the currency rate will screw you. Imagine buying land in India when the dollar was 50 now it is 88. You lost money there as well. Only NRIs who are fools will invest in india.

He said NRI should not inflate prices..we can't stop that for sure. But we can surely stop it for someone who has given up Indian citizenship , like agri land buying is not allowed for OCI

As if we all never broke a rule. Most of indians sold our entire country to invaders. I pay my taxes in both countries.

May be true. But the rule is the moment you get a citizenship of another country, Indian citizenship is automatically terminated.

It's individuals responsibility to renunciate the Indian passport.
