BCCI has announced three separate men's squads featuring capped players, for series over the next couple of weeks.

 

India's squad for West Indies Tests

The Senior Men’s Selection Committee has picked the India A squad for the three-match one-day series against Australia A

India A squad for 2nd and 3rd one-day matches: Shreyas Iyer (C), Tilak Verma (VC), Abhishek Sharma, Prabhsimran Singh (WK), Riyan Parag, Ayush Badoni, Suryansh Shedge, Vipraj Nigam, Nishant Sindhu, Gurjapneet Singh, Yudhvir Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Abhishek Porel (WK), Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh

Mr Shreyas Iyer has informed the BCCI of his decision to take a six-month break from red-ball cricket. Having undergone back surgery in the UK and managed his recovery well, he has recently experienced recurring back spasms and stiffness while playing .

 

In view of his decision, he was not considered for selection for the Irani Cup.

Sarfaraz Khan, is currently recovering from an injury.

From the squad that toured England, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Karun Nair, Akash Deep, Anshul Kamboj, Arshdeep Singh and Shardul Thakur have missed out, along with Pant.

 

Abhimanyu, Akash Deep and Kamboj have been included in the Rest of India squad for the Irani Cup, which will be played against Vidarbha .

 

 Akash Deep had reported to the CoE recently to recover from a niggle he had picked up in England, which kept him out of the Duleep Trophy and recent India A matches.

From the Squad selected recently for India A teams and Rest of India team,it looks Khaleel Ahmed  is groomed to play for test series 

 

He has been selected for every series. 

 

He should have been selected for Test series against West Indies.

Back and knee surgeries are the worst for athletes. Usually never the same after that.

If we go by the last A team test series, Gurnoor, Khaleel and Yash Thakur are being prepared for tests.  Kamboj comes after them.

 

Prasidh and Akashdeep are already playing tests.

Why Sai has been promoted above every one.

He has not so good numbers in Ranji and has perfomed  worse than Karun in England test series.

Harshit and Yudhvir should have played Irani trophy along with Gurnoor. All 3 bowling together would have been made the attack competitive.
Don't think Khaleel has in him to be the long format pacer, Akashdeep could have played the ODI's instead.
Eden Apple Tom should have played instead of Kambojh. Saransh Jain too makes no sense, T Vijay is younger.

Seems Manav Suthar is earmarked as the Test spinner over Nishant Sindhu. Anyway, opportunity for both to show their worth.

Pace bowling allrounder Suryansh  Shedge  is selected in A team for odi series. 

Raj Bawa was selected for high perfomance camp.Why is he not considered. Is Bawa injured
