I am only looking for clutch players.  In the last year batch Uday saharan could absorb pressure well albeit at a slow pace

Mhatre seems to be going the Unmukt Chand, Priyam Garg, Yash Dhull and Prithvi Shaw route. Too early to tell but lack of composure is quite stark. Picking George is a must. He is better than anybody not named Suryavanshi.

Unmukht chand was  solid player, so was dhull. They helped India win matches at this level. Mhatre is a massive miss in all crunch matches.

All these players are/were super talented. Just goes to show talent is not everything.

yes. Abhishek sharma was a lower order bowling all rounder playing under Shaw.

Mahatre has been good at U-tests but he is nt that good in U-odis. think he does not even have a fifty so far in U-Odis.

 

He has done well in Smat and IPL. Plays too many shots in the air, still does not have that kind of power to keep hitting them for 6/4. Thats ok U-19 players mostly does not have that kind of power at this level they are told to play along the ground.

He is a good player all right. Just needs to get his temperament sorted. Needs to prioritize consistent run scoring over flair and flamboyance.

The competition for these young guys is insane. The queues for national selection are already packed and new talent popping up regularly. One has to be extremely special to get noticed. Case in point - Raj Bawa. Genuine all rounder with a stellar tournament in 2022. Is 23 already but hardly in the reckoning even for A sides

Next match against Ban A will be a tough challenge. Mhatre, Suryavanshi should fire.
Abhigyan Kundu seems to have a calm head on his shoulders.

Mhatre's shot selection against short ball repeatedly let's him down. He is not as good against short ball as he thinks. Too many over confident hook shot attempts let him down. Sorta goes for vaibhav as well.

Yes both plays too many shots in the air, few of them gets mistimed. Mahatre lacks bit of power to clear to clear the boundaries each-time.

Both needs to work on shot selection, but that usually happens when there are players who are couple of levels up the group they are playing. Sometimes they take it too easy.

Vaibhav will deteriorate if he continues playing at this level as there is no accountability when u r the best in the side

Abhishek was a batting alrounder. He was touted as a teen batting prodigy from Punjab at u16 level itself, more than Gill but he never progressed as expected.

He looked exceptional in that U-19 wc with his stroke-play but has not progressed much lately even in their domestic t20 league he has not scored big.

 

Shail Pareak (or something similar) LH batter has some timing and stroke play think he is picked by some ipl team this season

Think they only had speedometer in that mavi-nagarkothi U-19 wc have not seen them after that.

 

From the ind vs eng u-test speedometer , henil was slower than Ambrish. Deepesh touch 130-133 kmph. , Henil bowled till 127 kmph but then slowed down, Ambrish was 125-128 kmph sometime think he got to ~130 kmph.

 

So can assume they may add 2-3 kmph in white-ball cricket.
