I was in US for 3 months only. So cannot compare.

 

One thing is for sure, you will have a great outdoor life in US. No country can come near. In comparision UK looked a bit cramped for me.

At first, I thought I was being too entitled and given the state of job market in India, many people would do anything to have my job.

 

But then everytime I would swipe in to my office campus, I would just look forward to my swipe out time at 6:30 pm. Sure, it's not necessary to love your job, but I think my relationship with my work has become unhealthy.

 

In fact, it's come to the point that I won't mind taking a pay cut and switch to a role that offers more flexibility and freedom in approach to work.

 

Just go back to good working place at higher level.

That is correct, the biggest selling point for the US is massive spaces and a great country for driving. India too is very diverse but not the same comfort level that you can find in the US.

With time all constructs disappear. Happy. Sad. Good. Bad. Year.  Weekend. Holiday. All relative and pointless.  It's all just all time which in itself is a construct. It's all a passing.

India is diverse and varied. But it is low on cleanliness. And also cramped.

Ideally, yes. But it's come to a point that I won't mind taking a hit on my paycheck to regain my sanity.
