Would not be surprised if an internal rogue faction does something stupid that incites India to launch 2.0 LVM3 success just few days back should open eyes and mind of munir not to push India. We are so far ahead of them now that all these fighters etc pak is buying is just meaningless.

Not to mention, all the pakjabis are anyway coward and dont dare to even speak up. Balochis and Pashtuns dare and theyre bombed by the armed forces. raki05 1

And he has put the most popular leader in jail. Zia level ruthlessness. Not to mention the purge he is doing right now. Not to mention the alliances he is making. I dare say we have found an enemy that will have to be put down. What he lacks in bravery makes up for it in tact. G_B_ and raki05 1 1

MoD baboons, IAF are all responsible @singhvivek141 Its really frustrating, and no doubt it has caused a ripple effect on the F414 deal as well. Thats where Safran is being looked at with its M88-TRex engine which it has promised with same dimensions as of F414 INS6. Safran has opened its MRO as well in Hyderabad last month which is going to deliver engines for commercial as well as military jets. Though, one side, it is really a big dent for our Airforce capabilities, but on the other hand, traditionally, it will give us the much needed kick off the back to invest on our indigenous engine program. Kaveri engine is slow, but after the Independence day speech and open announcement, there is less doubt that this program will be shut down completely. It may start slowly with UCAV but once it achieves required success, more funding will be released for its iterative versions.

HAL is under pressure to deliver Tejas mk1a, mk2, Super Sukhoi project and Prachand. No point adding one more project on their head and wait for imminent delays. Take 2-3 squadrons off the shelf. While HAL can continue creating airframes for mk1a and 12 Su30MKIs. Once those are done, they can shift to producing Su57E variants. G_B_ 1

MoD baboons, IAF are all responsible @singhvivek141 I think supply line will become idle if there are no fresh orders given. IAF didnt give more Su30MKI requests to MoD, and MoD didnt give orders to HAL (not that HAL would have done wonders). At this moment, lets just wait for engine deliveries, and handover whatever aircrafts are ready with weapon integrations tested. I think mk1a is yet to integrate Astra BVRs, so yeah, our PSUs too need to have a piece of humble pie before blaming the GE. raki05 1

raki05 Posted December 28, 2025 Posted December 28, 2025 (edited) If india really want to be independent they should focus full energy on building jet engine till then we will always be bullied by these American and European. No one will do tech transfer of such sophisticated technology, better we reverse engineer like china and in the process we will learn how to create it from scratch with time. Reckon American pressure is what's stopping otherwise Su57E is definitely not that costly to buy off the shelf even if first aircraft will be delivered in early 2030's.. if the deal is signed Today. I just don't think it's happening anymore otherwise we would have gone for it.

Our engine program is right now totally dependent on West. Even France is just a lapdog of US whom US can kick it anytime and plug the tap on Safran....thereby stalling M88 engine program as well.

Rolls - Royce got rejected for Safran in the first place coz of that reason alone.. French do have an independent foreign policy as well Safran will come through for AMCA when it matters even if delayed. But as you said any dependency is bad in this day and age. You reap what you sow. We weren't serious with Kaveri never funded that and are now paying the price. IAF will keep struggling with the numbers in next decade.

I wonder what happens if you combine it with the paint strategy of drdo which reduces rcs. Need to be sub 0.1 for some form of stealth. I am in favour of 50 su57e. But i think delivery deoendent on ukraine russia war ending. I think russia dont have capacity to produce. singhvivek141 1

But France has been able to do all of that coz "US has allowed them to do". US is behaving differently now ..it is seeing Europe as another beacon to throw onto Russia. Ukraine was the start, who knows what comes up later. This is the apparently new policy of US..to engage BRICS at their borders. South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Kanglus, Pooks, Ukraine, Poland, Estonia all are getting the new amrican toys. They're manhandling Venezuela which is close to Brazil, US has behaved erratically with South Africa. If France goes beyond the US instructions, it may suffer the consequences. Already US has insulted French men and specially women enough courtesy of WW 2. They will do it again if they want to, and honestly, France cant even do squat against them. https://www.npr.org/2024/11/16/nx-s1-5107906/france-dday-wwii-military-rape-murder https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20240506-taboo-french-women-speak-out-on-rapes-by-us-soldiers-during-wwii https://history.wisc.edu/publications/what-soldiers-do-sex-and-the-american-gi-in-world-war-ii-france/ G_B_ and Lone Wolf 1 1

Even the tanks supplied by Chinks are horribly constructed and lack the capability to sustain a contested warzone. But the thing is, they can manufacture it at cheap cost, learn from the battles of their sellers and can improve it further.
