Post SSBN we will be in desperate need of SSN's. During a doomsday scenario, the S4s & S5s will be amongst the first targets of the enemy. As SSBNs dont have ASW & are bigger they are escorted by a fleet of stealth SSNs that hunt down enemy units. Indian Navy is in the right direction for a change when it comes to Nuclear Submarines.

Indian Navy is in the right direction for a change when it comes to Nuclear Submarines. They will be operating in the bay of bengal between the mainland and andaman islands. There will be one carrier group or destoyers who will be patrolling. This is exactly why I have been saying that IN needs to pack its line with ASW Corvettes and missile-laden Frigates. 40 each. Destoyers etc are fine and India should maintain around 15 of them. India should ideally have 15 attack subs. Maybe 3 aircraft carriers with 20-30 aircraft. But the goal by 2040 is to command the Indian Ocean. A frigate + a well-developed missile program will be able to do that easily. This is also why India needs to invest in the P8. 3-4 P8s must always be operational in that space between Vizag and Port Blair. Those P8 need to be armed with 1500 to 2000km anti-submarine missiles. singhvivek141 1
G_B_ Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 The more I think about India needs the war to Ukraine to end asap. Brent crude will fall so any discount we are getting from Russian oil is not likely to erode. Last year Russia produced around 55 jets (with sanctions). There is enough inbuilt capacity, people speculate that they can produce upto 70-80 jets a year. If the war ends in a few months, they will be able to deliver, say 50 Su57e by 2030 with ease. India also needs to take a look at the Su35. This will be the mainstay of the Russian airforce. While I understand the logic of sticking with the MKI. I question HAL's ability to deliver numbers. singhvivek141 1

SSBN and SSGN are at a different tier. One thing which can probably interfere with SSGN is Air craft carrier.

SSGN is luxury but SSN are necessity. Priority wise they will come first along with increasing SSK numbers.. Germans are already ripping us off with SSN esque costs of AIP SSKs.. That's why we don't see big ticket programs like aircraft carriers and SSBN or SSN programs even in near future. They spend their little defense budget rather judiciously. From their analysts their immediate focus seems to be on having.. 12-15 AIP Submarines (7 of which will be operational this year) 4 Destroyers (Type 52D ) 8 FAC (4 Azmat class already operational) Investing heavily in frigates in collaboration with both Chinos and Turks.. They seem to be lobbying hard to get hold of long range variant of Yj-21 A2S for their J10CE fighters. They will probably get those sonner than later. Next time Operation Sindoor or whatever should focus entirely on destroying and crippling their naval capabilities. We should have done that this time around before they become a major nuisance in next decade G_B_ 1
G_B_ Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Blunt truth though. Goods flow to pak via two ports through karachi.94%. Even if india loses a few ships those ports will be neutralised. They dont have any storage facilities for oil etc. The biggest reform pakistan navy could have done is ensure distributed flow of goods via ports like Gwadar and Pasni. In an era of hypersonic missiles with 2000km reach, it makes their goal wide open.

We should have done that this time around before they become a major nuisance in next decade There are historical evidences, that Pak generals were trained by the US for decades during the Cold War era. Their influence was so deep, that they literally dictated the Pak generals what to do when in the battlefield. I wont be surprised if the tactics continue even now. I think we all can agree on the fact that Pak army is one, who will mortgage anything to keep themselves in power. Hence, even though the budget seems lower, Pak army would have received enough of those "hidden amount" which would help them procure these advanced weaponries. Pak has historically been like a dog (apologies to all the dogs around the world), who has always been striving for attention from its masters, be it Chinks or be in Muricans. Lone Wolf and G_B_ 1 1
singhvivek141 Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 I really like this initiative by Sandeep Unnithan. It looks much more grounded and real in comparison to Shiv Aroor's channel. Even Dabolim Dialogue's is worth watching. Its boring, but thats where the real content will come. G_B_ 1
Lone Wolf Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Lessons being learned from Iran Israel war... Need these Smaller range quasi ballistic missiles in massive numbers. Good to have in salvo launch. Much Heavier payload compared to Brahmos as well. G_B_ and singhvivek141 2

That won't change coz its creation was designed for said reason. It's a useful dog to have for major powers. We have been dealt with it so it's up to us how to handle them effectively. singhvivek141 1

And we were not able to use any Meteors during Op Sindoor 1.0. What am i missing here ? @Lone Wolf @singhvivek141

Our enemies are internal and we lost a chance in 1947. Both the monotheisms are eatin away at our civilization. Pooks, in comparison, are like toy dog puppies. Best way to deal with internal enemies is also the most challenging. Empower the indigenous religions (Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism) while cut down the power of alien religions. How we do that, well..I'm no expert but have some ideas 1. Cutting down the voting rights is one way to deal with it, just increase the voting rights age to 21 years for the priviledged community. 2. Bring the "minority" institutions under the reservation. 3. Common Civil Code 4. Free the temples from state control. 5. Relax the rules for opening of "majority" institutions. Currently Majority owned institutions hv to follow so much regulations that it becomes a headache to open a new institute. 6. Change the education system, teach the folks more in detail about history of Cholas, Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas, Karkotas and Ahoms...reduced British and Moghouls history in a chapter and move on. No need to glorify tyrants. 7. Change the name of cities, it may seem trivial, but it has a lasting impact. 8. Finally, revitalize Sanskrit. This is the language of our cultural identity and proud.

Peaceful TFR within India is in freefall along with Hindu TFR... Pooks and Afghans in comparison have highest TFR within Asia... The threat is legit with great powers backing these forces to keep us tied forever in South Asian muddle. Internal enemy 0.5 threat is extremely overhyped and there is little to no threat there... Other than being a mere nuisance and rioting factor. Even that would be severely crushed by Indian state. Indians often get distracted by these smaller plays and forget the big picture kepler37b 1

And no serious country ever shares its source code can't blame French here. The recent order is a smaller one which hints that IAF already had Meteors in sizeable numbers during Op Sindoor now why weren't they used and if they are integrated are major mysteries that no one is willing to answer. Even RTI applications have been rejected on it when people ask questions on what's the actual status of meteor. IAF is not in a good shape that has been well established by every Indian defence analyst.
Lone Wolf Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 These folks sign up for this very well knowing they will be targeted by terrorists... Good to see some automatic rifles now over outdated .303 rifles. F@king based
