Char Dham is the only connecting node for an average indian. Otherwise most have no idea of the different cultures of states. Yes. Even well-meaning BJP supporters are shocked by the non-veg culture in Bengal and NE. And the practice of bali which is a part of shakti traditions, Ramakrishna Paramhansa participated in that !!!! BJP is trying to promote vegetarianism in Bengal, but what works in Gujarat won't work in Bengal. Same with other religious customs, traditions, language, dietary habits. Hindu society can never be a homogeneous entity, just far too complex. G_B_ 1

Just that it cannot be politically done because of how inefficient and backward on all parameters including population control North has been vs South. That gap is reducing. And South is now in relying on North workers to keep it engine going. In 5-10 years they will loose the leverage. And then it should be done. But I don't know what delimitation has got to do with Annamalai. Your argument is of fear mongering one like mufti, Abdullah on art 370 removal. Nothing personal. The Chinese may also see indian population control polices as 'backward' but are now seeing the challenges of low tfr. You have created ways here to call the north as backward and TN as high hdi, law n order to feel good about yourself. I can destroy your claim on the law n order but have zero inclination to make the effort to type. Edited January 15 by randomGuy
G_B_ Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Bmc results will depend on turnout Higher turnout bjp+ will gain.

Also BJP/RSS cadre aren't safe in Kerala, check the targeted killings stats from there. When there is no safety, why will people stick their necks? Reasons, factors in Kerala 1. Counter polarization against religious extremism 2. Momentum 3. Double engine and support from strength of centre. 4. Possible but not certain, tacit support by the likes of tharoor etc.

Perhaps they value their survival more than you. 370 had a limited impact on one state. Don't see comparison. Now as far as facts go, start a thread to find all facts to show that North India has done better job than South. Wonder who will give memo to those who keep investing in Karnataka. TN, Andhra, Telangana. On population, I agree with you. It's good that North didn't follow govt directive. But that was the kpi. Which South obeyed and they don't want to pay price for it. That's their argument. But you still didn't answer. What does Annamalai going pan India have to do with delimitation.

Let us just say the people you back(Ramaswamy , Annamalai, chamath..) do not happen to be very influential neither can be very influential. Like I said, I don't have the inclination to type. Indians go to the US (TN is not as good as US by any stretch) for better job opportunities etc. but crime, including gun violence is much worse in usa than India.... homicide rate is twice than in India. TN having better law n order than north india is a fraud argument, false data. 40 out of 800 is also 5% just as 27 out of 540 seats. Meaning that if overall seats increase to 800, n TN is 40 (not decreased in absolute terms) , it will be fair allocation as per the population. Edited January 15 by randomGuy
G_B_ Posted January 15 Posted January 15 30% turnout until 1:30pm... Need 60%+ for bjp ravishingravi 1
ravishingravi Posted January 15 Author Posted January 15 41% till 3:30. City gets the services and infra that it deserves, randomGuy 1
randomGuy Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Bjp+ given arnd 141 seats but ssubt, mns given 32% voteshare. this means a big majority of marathi votes in Mumbai I hope they do not tolerate bad language and violence against non-marathis. I have to say 'hope' because I don't know what to say after seeing the campaign and voting pattern.
randomGuy Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) I think I heard on aajtak - 49% Marathi votes for mns, ssubt and 30% for mahayuti. This After the language that we heard for non marathis during the campaign. Edited January 15 by randomGuy

If its low then muslims have voted ubt+ mns to keep bjp out. ravishingravi 1
ravishingravi Posted January 15 Author Posted January 15 Hope the results come through. Fadnavis then has once in lifetime opportunity to make it true world class financial capital that it should be.
ravishingravi Posted January 16 Author Posted January 16 (edited) If results are in line with exit polls, this is most consequential election in last three decades for Maharashtra. This could also mean that Thackerays might get desperate in coming years. Esp Raj. Edited January 16 by ravishingravi
Pratik77 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Mahayuti will be in range from 120-140/150 something like that... Congress exit from aaghdi is going to hit ubhata plus mns in many seats specifically dalit-muslims pockets... ravishingravi 1
