Paarthiv Patel or Dinesh Kaarthick

in dhoni's absence from the coming test series against sri lanka, dinesh and paarthiv are both included in the squad so who will get the preference, not only thinking about keeping, but keeping in mind their batting skills as well my personal opinion is that dinesh kaarthick isn't too good a keeper, and his batting seems to be a little out of sorts these days. on the other hand, paarthiv patel's keeping is good enough, and his batting is much much better than kaarthick's i believe paarthiv will contribute more than kaarthick, with both gloves and the bat

Parthiv is a better batsman, but his keeping is as bad as Afridi's batting. P.S: Not that DK is any better of either.

i hv seen kaarthick drop a few, but paarthiv doesn't drop too many so, forgetting their respective batting, paarthiv patel would b a much better option behind the wickets also, dinesh kaarthick, when he has been in the indian odi or test team, he plays as a specialist batsmen, and thus his keeping skills must hv bn rusted by now and as they say, catches win matches, paarthiv patel should win the race considering their recent performances(read ipl) paarthiv was ahead of kaarthick in both terms!!!!!

Parthivs glovewrok may have improved. Need to see him recently to know. Both are better then Dhon for tests. I would go for Karthick, he has scored runs before and will again at test level!

If sehwag doesnt recover in time both will end up playing. So the bigger question is who will open and who will keep ?

Last time I saw Parthiv playing, he could only play shots in the square region(behind and in front of square). I haven't seen Ranji matches, but I hope he has developed some ability of play in the V. I remember him getting frustrated when the opposing captain populated the square region and cut him off.

Parthiv is definitely the better choice ! Karthick is in a bad slump ...
