Their batting is v average.  A 40 year old Mushfiq is still playing.  Test openers are trash.

 

Only Shanto and Liton look technically good players.  Hopefully they play Tanzid Tamim in the next game.  He is the next best batter in BD set up.

 

Most of their struggles in every format is down to their batting.  Their bowling more often than not always performs.

 

Pakistan losing the test match is coz of their bowlers/Trundlers.  But Pooks always try to throw their batters under the bus and blame them as they can't accept in their subconscious that their bowlers are garbage level.

Despite his pace, Abbas is pretty good in tests and has performed on every wicket against every opponent.

 

Also an interesting stat

 

The much hyped Asif -  106 wickets, avg 24.36

 

Abbas - 108 wickets, avg 22.8

 

He will soon overtake Amir and Shaheen and is likely to go beyond Akhtar in total test wickets, by the time he retires

As a spread they are very good but no one on the level of Bumrah, Ashwin, Jadeja or for that matter even Shami/Siraj.

Another Lit Ton by Litton. He's batting beautifully with the tail. He's making a habit of bailing out BD especially against Pakistan. 3 of his 6 tons were against them.

Bumrah is an ATG

Siraj v good  but both approaching mid 30's

 

BD attack is younger and has more variety.  They need to play Top teams in tests to constantly improve.

 

Touring Australia this year for tests after almost 25 years is a good one for them.
