SA winning second test v Pak despite it shows the quality of the team and mental strength.  Muthuswamy the legend.

Those were the signs of things to come for India. SA came battle hardened and with our atrocious toss record we were just sitting ducks ready to be slaughtered

And Gill's neck sprain didn't help either. With him in the team, we would have atleast won the 1st Test and drawn the series.

Won't have mattered but yes we had a chance in the 1st test.

Gill chickened out showed the overall mindset of the change room.

Gill showed his lack of character by sitting out because of a neck sprain. All he had to do was come and stay on the ground for 2 minutes, team would have receuved a boost and with such tight margins, we would have edged a win....that is what Pant did in Eng. Woakes came ready to bat left handed last year in Oval. 

 

Kapil bowled us to victory in 1981 MCG with a torn quadricep. 

 

Sachin battled tremendous pan in 1999 Chepauk, against Pak. 

 

Kumble dismissing Lara with a broken jaw. 

 

Laxman and his 4th innings chases in Mohali and against SL in 2010, battling back spasms. 

 

So many examples. Nothing life threatening with Gill's injury, guy proved he is a chickenhearted player. 

 

Not even going to talk about other sports like field hockey, where players come back to the turf despite so many scary injuries.

Agreed bhai. I would blame desh bhakt gambo for it then gill. Gambhir talks of character but his teams don't show

Pak vs Bd is becoming same for bd as it was vs Ind few years back where Bd side knew they can put the side under pressure just by showing up some energy in the field.

 

Ind lost few series as well, think one where taskin emerged as a star and then Fizz

Wtf kind of cricket is Pakistan playing man. This is beyond low. Just commenting from seeing the highlights, looks like BD pacers are miles ahead vs Pak pacers at this point.

That was ODIs.. completely different story. I think toygers even beat South Africa and Pakistan back in those times in home odi series.

 

This BD Test side has improved quite a lot and at the same time Pooks have become minnow level and the result is there for all to see.
