Ireland vs WI women's cricket is getting interesting.  Ireland has played 21 world cup matches in T20. Lost all 21 of them. If they beat WI today that will be history.

Nathan Smith O Rourke Tickner Foulkes and Tickner are all fundamentally different bowlers.

 

Foulkes with his indippers with keeper standing up suited this pitch.

 

Kudos to their team selection.  Meticulous planning.

 

It will take a generational effort from India to win a test in NZ.  This is a test unit at their peak.   Across formats a challenging team.

The longer the format, harder is to beat these guys.

Bhuvi is the ideal bowler against them. Too bad he has not played much against them. He ran riot against them at the eden Gardens. Guptill never picked his inswinger in any format. You have to target the stumps. Brydon carse took 10 wicket haul in NZ. You need consistent bowlers who can nibble around. They had Southee doing it for them for a very long period.

Our batters don't have technical ability to survive for long on those snake pits.  It's Gill Jaiswal and bust.

 

And it seems our bowlers would get outbowled as well.

 

Nathan Smith and Henry seem kings of wobble seam and O Rourke has extra pace + bounce  There is always this Jamieson guy.

 

Bench strength is way too good already.

 

Bhuvi didn't face a side of this quality. NZ always had mediocre journeyman cricketers that would make sum of its parts and team mostly revolved around Kane and a washed B Mac.

 

Last 5-6 years they have evolved into a super talent filled team.  I only see Conway as a legit weakness the top in batting but even he knows how to make ugly runs.

I don't think they will survive against moving balls. We don't have bowlers to move the ball in the air. Almost all of them are hit the deck bowlers. THat doesn't work much in  NZ as the boucne is not very high

Christchurch has a lot of carry.  Wellington is where you find swing in the air.  But swing has been categorically easier to deal with for batters these days than seam at good pace.  Boult became a failure in test cricket for that same reason in his last few years 

Red Kookaburra stops swinging after few overs and its always the seam and variations Pacers have developed with the seam doing the damage

Southee and Henry are both seam and swing bowlers. They absolutely owned Kohli time and again

Bowling 20 overs by fast bowler and bowling 20 overs by spinners are not the same.Is Jadeja better bowler than Stokes in home conditions then answer is yes.

 

Kapil would always be rated higher than Jadeja.Fast bowlers have to deal with their niggles and injuries far more than a spinner.

 

Kapil is better than both

 

Bowling in friendly conditions then skipping in tough conditions doesn’t make anyone an AR

 

On an average, Jadeja bowls 37 overs per match whereas Stokes bowls 19. So workload is pretty much similar. Spinners have to bowl far longer spells
