Nevertheless, both have done their part, bringing javelin into the mainstream in their countries and region. Up to next generation to take the mantle forward. Refreshing to see South Asians doing so well in this sport, who would have thought something like would happen 10-15 years ago !!! If the leadership of Sri Lanka was even remotely visionary it could have become the model state for whole of South Asia. State was called upcoming Tiger of South Asia in the 90's. But Lankans are cursed that way throughout their history.
