Who is near the guillotine - RD? SG? VVS?

Recommended Posts

Ive always liked ganguly, but i just believe that with ganguly being the oldest, losing his odi place, where I believed he was a better odi player, but still a very good test player with a good average, The selectors will not pick him, and yes he was the top scorer in tests but dont think bcci will take that into consideration. Simply what I am saying is I THINK he will be axed first but I dont want that to happen
ODI place was lost thx to dhoni's youth movement... dada has been better in tests then odis since his comeback...no way he gets dropped if he does bad in sl...and he wont..:yay:

FWIW' date=' Dravid is averaging 45 in 2008 all against top notch Australian and South African attacks.[/quote']
Such facts don't matter to blind haters.....
Facts are figures apart, its quite obvious that Dravid has the been the most underperforming of all our specialist batsman for a while. Its not without reason why he is under pressure.

lol beetle ppl here are worried abt Dravids decline as one of the top batsmen in the world..i dont think that classifies them as haters..and im pretty sure everyone knows that out of the fab 4 Rahul is the one who is struggling a lot..with that in mind his avg is 45 is credit to his tufness..he himself said that his last 100 agains the Saffies was a tuf one..SG and VVS have always played the same way..they have never avged more than 50 in their entire career..i think the discussion here is abt how a guy who has been avging more than 55 has gone thro a lean patch for a long time now..there is no one to replace RD rite now and infact im not sure if any youngster can fill his place but Rahul is quite evidently not the strong force that he used to be and i sincerely hope that this SL series gives him all the confidence coz v need him badly against the aussies in October..

If Sachin Tendulkar has a breakdown of sorts at any time, we all will have blood on our hands. That's a fine way to thank someone who has given us so much, isn't it?
Total BS. What about the amount of money he has made, so much that his 'pushton bhi raaj karenge' even if they don't lift a finger! If he has given so much, he is getting back so much also. He is not playing for India free of cost?

Have you ever thanked an army soldier who has been fighting on Siachen earning a few thousand rupees for the last 18 years so that SRT can play and you can watch him play safely?? His contribution is a lot more than the "GOD" with billions in his pocket

It a little sad to see a point of view like that. I dont think any amount of money would measure upto the pride he has brought his country. I dont think any amount of money would make up for that hundred he produced in the WC right after his father died. I dont think any amount of money is enough for that kid who kept playing with a bleeding nose. I dont think any amount of money would ever be a right compensation for the numerous times he took reponsibility of 11 players on his lone shoulders. I dont think any amount of money would produce a role model that he has been to the society. I dont think any amount of money could ever replace a Sachin Tendulkar. If you think so, I can only pity and pray to god to give you the wisdom to see beyond money. As a cricket fan, I am indebted to him for what he has done for the game. As a Sachin fan, I have never been dissapointed me. He has been responsible. He did not break down under the tremendous pressurre of expectations and negatice critics. He never came out and gave controversial statements or even a line against those who had continuously tried to badname him. Even though he was the biggest brand name for the last one and half decades, he never walked ramps, he never showed up in a page 3 party. He never had an affaire with a bollywood actress. He understood the grave responsibility he had as a role model and he concentrated and dedicated his entire life to Cricket keeping a conscious effort not to anything that sets a bad example. Its not easy to be down to earth and be a gentleman when money flows like water and wen 90% of the country's population is mad about you. It not easy not to feel like God when you are in Sachin Tendulkar's place. For me, as a Sachin fan, he has been the perfect role model to follow. And yet people keep throwing dirt at him? Whats his mitake? That he earned money and made his family's and the coming generations' lives safe and secure? Is that what hurts peope?

So Suraj, when was your last visit to Siachen to personally 'thank' an Indian soldier, given the immense respect you hold for him and how you conveniently point fingers at others for not doing so?

Everyone needs to understand that Sachin is more than just a cricket player for many of us here. He is our role-model, inspiration in life. No wonder many of us hold him so close to our heart. Now, I quite dont see what problem the 'non-worshippers' :P, could have, with that.

Dont have to justify anything to anyone dude. I am sure Suraj has spent half his lifetime thanking and showing his gratitude to Indian soldiers and policemen. Worthy deeds indeed!

Truly silly statement. Any man is entitled to make as much fortune as he can, out of his profession. Dont you do it yourself, or do you work for charity? Sachin didnt go around begging for ads and media contracts. Because of what he is, the respect he has and his overall stature he has among Indians, adsand money went to him. No surprises there. But what separates Sachin from the rest is his total committment to the sport, his discipilne and self-restraintv in the public space, at a time of errant celebrities who are more interested in masala talk. ANYONE questioning Sachin is on absolutely flimsy grounds and dont have a hope of sustaining their argument for more than a minute. He deserves every bit of the fame, adulation and money he has earnt and more.
