"Gary Kirsten is still in the ward with her," the sources said. She was admitted to the hospital couple of days ago and Kirsten almost immediately left Sri Lanka to be with her. "Gary's mother was very close to her both sons and was waiting for Gary to return from Sri Lanka", a source close to the family said. Rajiv
India had better win and give Gazza just a tiny something to smile about. What nonsense, no reason for a comment like that - cricket match win and a smile whoz mother just died Really absurd Link to comment
goose
why is it nonsense? grief is all around us. what is sport if not a distraction, a form of escapism? work is good for the soul. Kirsten's work happens to be making India win a test series. of course he'll be distraught. if India win this series and dedicate it to the memory of his mother it will make him feel ever so slightly better. fact. Rajiv
its the timing, drop of a hat comment..mother died, ..oh yeah let india win a test match and its gonna bring a smile Link to comment
goose
empty platitudes.... if were GK's mate i'd be doing my best to make him feel better. you posting condolences on some forum, whilst admirable in it's own little way, aint going to bring him much relief. 2-1 to India might just displace his gloom fleetingly. anyway...peace. MalikBrother
Nothing can help if someone loses his Mother. The timing was not right of your comment. Sad to hear about his Mother. Sadly, he couldn't reach on time to meet his mother before she... Rest In Peace = R.I.P Link to comment
